Our Beliefs

The Scriptures

The Holy Bible is the inerrant and inspired Word of God and is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. All Scripture is a testimony to Jesus Christ (Second Timothy 3:16-17; Second Peter 1:20-21).

Sovereign God

There is only one living and true God who reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – three Persons and yet one God. He is worthy of our highest love, reverence, and obedience (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Matthew 28:19; First Corinthians 8:6).

God the Son

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who identified Himself completely with mankind yet was without sin. He was born of a virgin and is fully God and fully man (Luke 1:26-55; John 1:1-14; Philippians 2:5-11).

Sin

When man sinned against God, all of humanity was condemned, bringing not only physical death, but also spiritual death and eternal separation from God (Genesis 3; Romans 3:23; 5:18-19; 6:23).

Salvation

Because of God’s great love for people, He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins. Jesus was raised from the dead with a glorified body and then ascended into Heaven. Salvation is by God’s grace through faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior (Isaiah 53:5; John 3:16; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 5:6-10; 10:9-13; Ephesians 2:8-9).

Service

The local church consists of followers of Jesus Christ who lovingly serve one another, serve the community, and share the Gospel with people until Jesus returns (Acts 1:8; 2:42-47; First Corinthians 12:12-26; Ephesians 1:22-23).

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ Himself will return for His Church. Believers will spend eternity in the fullness of joy in Heaven with the Lord (Matthew 24:29-42; I Thessalonians 4:16-18).
